About Kingsway Golf Club

Kingsway Golf Club in Scunthorpe operates as a private country club, owned and run by its own membership rather than by an external operator. The centrepiece is a championship-length eighteen-hole course, playing to a par of 72 and stretching to 7,235 yards from the back tees, laid out by course architect Ron Garl. The clubhouse supports the golf operation with the amenities typical of a members' country club, giving the site a social dimension alongside the course itself. Because the club is member-owned, decisions about the running of the course and facilities sit with the membership rather than a corporate structure, which shapes the character of the club as much as the layout of the course does. The length of the course from the back markers puts it among the longer eighteen-hole layouts in the region, giving low-handicap players a genuine test of distance across the round, while forward tees allow the course to be played at a more manageable length by less experienced golfers. Based in Scunthorpe, the club serves golfers across North Lincolnshire and the surrounding area, offering a members' club environment built around a single, full-length championship course rather than a resort-style multi-course site.
