About Kintore Golf Club

Kintore Golf Club was established in 1911 in the Royal Burgh of Kintore, a small town in Aberdeenshire on the banks of the River Don. The course measures 6,126 yards from the medal tees, a length that falls short of many modern layouts but one the club maintains still demands careful course management rather than allowing golfers to play on autopilot. Kintore's status as a Royal Burgh reflects its long history as a settlement, predating the golf club itself by many centuries, and the town sits within commuting distance of Aberdeen to the south-east. The club pairs its traditional Aberdeenshire setting with more modern additions to the clubhouse and facilities, aiming to offer contemporary comforts alongside a course that has changed relatively little in its essential routing since the early twentieth century. A drone flyover of the layout is available for prospective visitors and members to preview the course before playing it in person, giving an overview of how the holes sit across the ground. Aberdeenshire's inland courses, away from the more famous links on the coast north and south of Aberdeen, tend to combine parkland and moorland characteristics, and Kintore's position on the Don corridor places it firmly within that inland tradition rather than a seaside links style.

Where to find it

The address is Baldithan, Kintore, Aberdeenshire, AB51 0UR. It is about 11 miles from Aberdeen. That is a straight-line distance. The sidebar links to the club website and lists its phone number. The map below marks the course, so you can check the route first.

Check the club website for tee times, because visitor rules differ by club. Ask for the current green fee, since we do not list one. Pack a waterproof layer, because UK weather changes fast.
