About Newport Links Golf Club

Newport Links Golf Club is based in Newport, a small town on the Pembrokeshire coast close to Fishguard in south-west Wales, within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. This part of the county sits below the Preseli Hills, the source of the bluestones used at Stonehenge, and looks out over Newport Bay towards Dinas Head. Fishguard itself, a few miles along the coast, is the main ferry port for crossings to Rosslare in Ireland, and the area draws visitors for its coastal path, beaches and hill walking as much as for golf. The club's postcode, SA42 0NR, places it within the town of Newport itself, on a stretch of coastline that alternates between sandy bays and rocky headland. Golfers visiting this part of Pembrokeshire are typically combining a round with time on the coast path or a stay in one of the smaller towns and villages that line this section of the Welsh coast.
