About Parklands Golf Club

Parklands Golf Club is located in Newcastle upon Tyne, within the NE3 postcode area that covers Gosforth and the city's northern suburbs. This part of Newcastle sits away from the industrial Tyne waterfront that shaped the city's older reputation, instead occupying gently rolling ground on the northern edge of the urban area, close to the open countryside of Northumberland beyond the city boundary. Gosforth itself is one of Newcastle's more established residential districts, home to Newcastle Racecourse and a mix of Victorian and interwar suburbs, and golf clubs in this part of the city typically sit within or adjoining that suburban parkland fabric rather than out in open farmland. The North East's golfing landscape spans everything from coastal links along the Northumberland shore to inland parkland courses like this one closer to the city centre, giving golfers based in Newcastle a range of styles within a short drive. For anyone based in the northern suburbs of Newcastle, Parklands offers a course without needing to travel out toward the coast or into rural Northumberland.

Where to find it

The address is High Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE3 5HQ. It is about 4.1 miles from Newcastle. That is a straight-line distance. The sidebar lists the club phone number. The map below shows the exact spot, because that helps with satnav.

Call the club for tee times, because visitor rules differ by club. Ask for the current green fee, since we do not list one. Pack a waterproof layer, because UK weather changes fast.
