RAF Valley Golf Club
About RAF Valley Golf Club
RAF Valley Golf Club is located on Anglesey, in north-west Wales, with a postcode, LL65 3NY, in the area around RAF Valley, the Royal Air Force station near Holyhead best known as a fast-jet and search-and-rescue training base. The club's name reflects that connection, and its setting places it in the flatter, western part of the island rather than the more rugged coastline further north. Anglesey itself is separated from the Welsh mainland by the Menai Strait and reached via the Britannia and Menai bridges, with Holyhead, the island's largest town and a ferry port for Ireland, a short distance further west. The island combines low-lying farmland with a coastline that includes some of Wales's better-known beaches and headlands. Golfers in this part of Anglesey are within easy reach of Holyhead's ferry terminal, South Stack lighthouse, and the beaches along the western shore, making a round here easy to combine with a wider visit to the island.
