About Romanby Golf Club

Romanby Golf Club, on the edge of Northallerton in North Yorkshire, combines an eighteen-hole course described by the club as championship standard with an attached country club. The pairing of golf and country club facilities under one roof gives members access to a broader set of amenities than the course alone, extending the club's offer beyond golf into wider social and leisure use. Northallerton itself is the county town of North Yorkshire, sitting roughly midway between Darlington and York on the main road and rail corridor through the county, which gives the club a central position within the wider North Yorkshire road network. That location makes Romanby a relatively easy stop for golfers travelling through this part of Yorkshire, as well as a convenient course for members based in and around the town itself. The championship-standard billing suggests a course built to a full competitive length and layout, suited to members looking for a serious test over eighteen holes rather than a short or simplified round. Combined with the country club side of the site, Romanby positions itself as a rounded membership offering, covering both a complete golf course and the wider social facilities that come with a country club setting, based just outside Northallerton's town centre.
