About Sherdons Golf Centre

Sherdons Golf Centre is located near Tewkesbury, the Gloucestershire town that sits at the meeting point of the Severn and Avon rivers. Tewkesbury's abbey and half-timbered streets sit low in the Severn Vale, an area prone to flooding where the two rivers merge before continuing south towards Gloucester, and the flat, fertile land around the town has long supported market gardening and orchards. The GL20 postcode covers the area to the north and west of Tewkesbury, within sight of the Malvern Hills, which rise sharply from the Severn plain a few miles to the west, and within easy reach of the Cotswold escarpment to the east. This stretch of Gloucestershire sits on one of the county's main road corridors, with the M5 running close by, linking the town to both Cheltenham and Worcester. The vale's low-lying, well-watered ground makes for a different character of golfing terrain to the limestone Cotswolds a short distance away.

Where to find it

The address is Manor Farm, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, GL20 7BP. It is about 5.4 miles from Cheltenham. It is about 8.0 miles from Gloucester. Those are straight-line distances. The sidebar links to the club website and lists its phone number. The map below shows the exact spot, because that helps with satnav.

Check the club website for tee times, because visitor rules differ by club. Ask for the current green fee, since we do not list one. Pack a waterproof layer, because UK weather changes fast.
