About Walsall Golf Club

Walsall Golf Club is an eighteen-hole course based on Broadway in Walsall, in the heart of the West Midlands. The layout is notable for the number of bunkers spread across the course, with sand traps positioned around most of the greens in a way that puts a premium on accuracy with the approach shot rather than simply reaching the putting surface. Visiting golfers can book tee times online, and the club runs a programme of open competitions through the year that are open to non-members as well as its own golfers, giving visiting players a chance to compete alongside the regular membership. The club operates from a clubhouse on site that supports both casual visitor rounds and the club's competitive calendar, and membership offers are reviewed periodically for those interested in joining on a more permanent basis. With bunkering as its defining feature, Walsall Golf Club presents a different kind of challenge to courses that rely mainly on length or water hazards, instead asking golfers to plot their way around sand short of and around almost every green. For golfers in the Walsall area looking for a well-bunkered eighteen-hole test with an active visitor and competition programme, the club offers a full day's golf close to the town centre.
