About Wrag Barn Golf & Country Club

Wrag Barn Golf & Country Club is set at Highworth, on the northern edge of Wiltshire close to the Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire boundaries, a few miles from Swindon. This part of north Wiltshire sits at the edge of the Cotswolds, where the limestone hills begin to give way to the lower ground around the Thames headwaters, and Highworth itself is an old market town rather than a recent Swindon suburb. Alongside its golf course, the club operates as a venue for weddings, parties and conferences, reflecting a country-club model that pairs golf with function and event space rather than golf alone. Swindon's growth as a railway and later a manufacturing and distribution town has expanded the population within reach of Highworth considerably, giving Wrag Barn a catchment that spans both the town and the more rural villages of north Wiltshire around it.
