A separate nine-hole River Course gives members and visitors a shorter option alongside the championship layout. The club runs its own calendar of open events, among them the Aldeburgh Spoon for women and the Seaton Robson, a fixture in Suffolk's county order of merit. Aldeburgh itself is a small town on this stretch of coastline, and the club has operated continuously through more than a century of change in the area.
