About Crieff Golf Club

Crieff Golf Club, in the Perthshire town of Crieff, is laid out as two separate loops of holes on well-drained parkland ground above the Strathearn valley. The higher sections of the course make the most of the setting, with panoramic views opening across the valley towards the surrounding hills, while tree-lined fairways lower down give a more sheltered, traditional parkland feel. This mix of open, elevated holes and enclosed, wooded stretches gives the course two distinct characters within a single round, a layout long associated with Highland golf at its most varied. Crieff sits at the western end of Strathearn, within easy reach of Comrie, Gleneagles and the wider Perth and Kinross golfing area, and the town's elevated position contributes directly to the views available from the course. The well-drained ground underfoot also means the course tends to play firm and dry for much of the year, a quality often prized by golfers used to heavier parkland courses elsewhere. Together, the two loops give members and visitors a choice of routes and, combined with the valley views, make Crieff one of the more scenically varied inland courses in Perthshire.
