About Lakeside Golf Course

Port Talbot sits on the South Wales coast in Glamorgan, a town shaped by its steelworks and by the hills of the Afan valley rising immediately behind it. Lakeside Golf Course takes its name from the water that runs through the layout, a feature that sets it apart from the steeper valley courses found further inland. The SA13 postcode puts the course within easy reach of the M4, useful for golfers approaching from Swansea Bay to the west or Bridgend and Cardiff to the east. Like much of this stretch of Glamorgan, the surroundings mix industrial heritage with patches of open ground, and Lakeside offers a low-key, local option for golfers who want a round without a long drive into the countryside further north.
