Roker Park Golf Course lies on Aldershot Road on the western side of Guildford, in the Surrey countryside between the town and the Hampshire border. This stretch of the A323 corridor runs through the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty built on chalk downland and greensand ridges, with the market town of Guildford itself sitting on the River Wey where it cuts through the North Downs. The GU3 postcode covers the villages and heathland to the west of the town, including Wanborough and Normandy, an area of mixed farmland, pine woodland and sandy heath typical of the Surrey and Hampshire border country. Guildford's position on the Wey and its historic role as a coaching stop between London and Portsmouth have long made this part of Surrey well connected yet still largely rural, with the North Downs Way passing within a few miles. The site also hosts a golf coaching and equipment business alongside the course itself.
