About Sherdley Park Golf Club

Sherdley Park Golf Club sits within Sherdley Park on the eastern side of St Helens, a Merseyside town that grew up around glassmaking and coal, midway between Liverpool and Manchester on the M62 corridor. The course plays over 18 holes to a par of 71, laid out across the park's public green space alongside sports pitches and woodland walks that give the area its recreational character. St Helens' flat-to-gently-rolling terrain, shaped by its industrial and mining past, is typical of the wider Merseyside hinterland, and Sherdley Park itself has long served as one of the borough's council-run leisure grounds. Golfers based in the town or passing through the region between the two big Northwest cities have a straightforward, publicly accessible 18-hole round on their doorstep, with the clubhouse doubling as a venue for food, drink and functions alongside the golf itself.
