About Lydd Golf Club

Lydd Golf Club is set on Romney Marsh, the flat expanse of reclaimed marshland stretching along the English Channel coast where Kent meets East Sussex. This is some of the lowest-lying ground in England, drained over centuries by a network of dykes and sewers to create the wide, open sheep pasture the marsh is still known for, with Dungeness and its shingle headland a short distance to the south. London lies roughly an hour's drive to the north-west, making the club a realistic day trip from the capital despite its remote, coastal setting.
