About Thorndon Park Golf Club

Thorndon Park Golf Course which was opened in 1920 was laid out by the world renowned course designer Harry Colt. Colt's Essex strategic masterpiece is set within 240 acres of an Elizabethan deer park which was owned by the Petre Family. Its glorious tight fairways and fast draining soil are the envy of any course. Individual challenging holes gently undulate through the veteran woodlands dating back to the 13th Century.

Where to find it

The address is Thorndon Park, Brentwood, Essex, CM13 3RH. It is about 21 miles from London. That is a straight-line distance. The sidebar links to the club website and lists its phone number. The map below shows the exact spot, because that helps with satnav.

Check the club website for tee times, because visitor rules differ by club. Ask for the current green fee, since we do not list one. Pack a waterproof layer, because UK weather changes fast.
