Addington Palace Golf Club

Addington Palace Golf Club is laid out across the grounds of the historic Addington Palace on the southern edge of London, close to Croydon town centre. The 18-hole course plays to a par of 71 over 6,405 yards, running through wooded glades interspersed with open parkland, a variety that gives the round a changing character from hole to hole rather than a repeating pattern. Mature trees, remnants of the estate's history as private grounds before the golf course was established, line much of the layout and shape the strategy on many holes. The club welcomes guests, prospective members and green-fee visitors alongside its existing membership, and runs a regular calendar of events through the year. Beyond the golf course, the clubhouse at Addington Palace is used for private functions, including celebrations and commemorative gatherings, drawing on the setting of the palace itself. Positioned only around ten minutes from central Croydon, the course nonetheless feels removed from the surrounding suburbs once play is underway, screened by its wooded grounds.
