Wales Golf Courses

6 courses

Wales has over 170 golf clubs across its four historic regions, offering a remarkable variety of links, parkland, and mountain courses for visiting golfers at every level.

The south coast is home to Royal Porthcawl — Wales's finest links course and one of Britain's top ten. From every hole you can see the sea, which is rare even among true links courses. Further west, the Gower Peninsula and Pembrokeshire coastline add more links options, including Tenby and Pennard.

North Wales is dominated by the drama of Snowdonia. Aberdovey on the Ceredigion coast — described by Harry Colt as "the course my heart loves best" — sits at the mouth of the Dyfi estuary and is one of the great traditional links courses in Britain. The Llŷn Peninsula adds Nefyn & District, a spectacular cliff-top layout with views across Cardigan Bay.

Green fees across Wales are generally excellent value, with most clubs charging under £60 per round. The county filters below cover Glamorgan, Gwynedd, Cardiff, Ceredigion, and all other Welsh counties.
