How does Northern Ireland compare with the rest of the UK? →
Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and has some of the best-known links golf in the world. Royal Portrush on the Antrim coast hosted The Open Championship in 2019 and again in 2025, and Royal County Down, set beneath the Mourne Mountains, is widely regarded as one of the finest links courses anywhere.
Much of the best golf follows the Atlantic and Irish Sea coastlines, where links courses sit among dunes and cliffs. Inland, the six counties of Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone also offer parkland and lakeside courses. Use the county filters below to browse courses in each part of Northern Ireland.
