Buckinghamshire Golf Club

🤍

Denham sits in the Colne Valley on the Buckinghamshire side of the county boundary with Hertfordshire and Greater London, a few miles from Uxbridge and within reach of the M25 and M40. The Rivers Colne and Misbourne both pass through this part of the valley, threading between water meadows, gravel pits and pockets of woodland that give the area its mix of open parkland and riverside cover. Denham village itself has a long history as a film-location favourite, its lanes and church still largely unspoiled by the motorway network that surrounds it. A golf club occupying ground crossed by two rivers inherits that landscape directly: low-lying fairways, natural water features and the kind of mature tree cover typical of the Home Counties fringe rather than open downland. Being this close to west London and the M25 orbital makes the club a realistic outing for golfers based anywhere from Uxbridge to Watford, without the traffic associated with courses deeper inside the capital's commuter belt.
