Flamborough Head Golf Club plays over eighteen holes on the cliffs above the sea near Bridlington, with the layout following the natural contours of the Flamborough headland that gives the club its name. The clifftop setting places the course directly on the coastline of the East Riding of Yorkshire, on Lighthouse Road in Flamborough, close to the working lighthouse that marks this stretch of coast. Being built into the shape of the headland rather than a flattened or reshaped site, the course follows the rise and fall of the natural ground, which brings the sea into view from a number of holes around the round. Alongside the golf, the club offers bed and breakfast accommodation, giving visiting golfers the option to stay close to the course rather than travelling in for the day. The club runs a programme for members, visitors and societies, with green fee and membership information available directly through the club, and welcomes golfers of varying abilities to play the course across the year. Flamborough itself is a small coastal village on the East Yorkshire coast, and the golf club forms one part of the wider appeal of the headland, sitting alongside the lighthouse and the cliffs as one of the area's coastal landmarks.
