Inverurie Golf Club

Inverurie Golf Club has been part of this Aberdeenshire market town since 1923, when the club was formed on ground close to where the River Don loops around the town on its way to the North Sea at Aberdeen, some seventeen miles to the south-east. Inverurie itself grew as a railway and agricultural centre serving the fertile Garioch district, and the club's century of history reflects that small-town Aberdeenshire pattern of golf arriving alongside the railway and continuing as a members' focus ever since. The surrounding Garioch is low, rolling farmland rather than mountain scenery, with the granite city of Aberdeen providing the nearest larger urban centre. For golfers travelling the A96 corridor between Aberdeen and Inverness, Inverurie offers a course with over a hundred years of continuous membership history in a part of Scotland more associated with farming and distilling than with championship golf.
