Rother Valley Golf Club forms part of the wider Rother Valley Country Park on the edge of Sheffield, and its main 18-hole course, known as the Blue Monster, was laid out by the former European Tour professional Mark Roe. That course plays to a par of 72 over roughly 6,400 yards and is built around numerous water features and greens considered tricky to read, giving it a reputation as the sterner test on site. Alongside it sits a separate nine-hole par-three course better suited to newer golfers, plus a nine-hole footgolf course and a 26-bay floodlit driving range fitted with automated Powertee mats. The clubhouse is open to the public and includes a licensed bar and restaurant looking out over both the course and the surrounding country park. The centre runs a range of membership options and is a regular venue for golf society days, with its practice facilities used as much by members working on their game as by visitors booking a single round. Positioned within the country park rather than a private estate, Rother Valley combines a full-length course with beginner-friendly options on a single site on the southern edge of Sheffield.
