St Fillans Golf Club sits across the River Earn from the village of St Fillans, at the eastern end of Loch Earn in the Highland Perthshire area of Scotland. The nine-hole course is tucked away from the village itself, reached across the river, with the loch and the surrounding hills forming the backdrop to most of the holes. St Fillans village runs along the loch shore in a line of houses, hotels and guesthouses that all look out along the water, and the golf club shares that same outlook from its side of the valley. Visitors are welcome throughout the year and can book and pay for tee times either through the club's own website or through the Scottish Golf app, making arrangements straightforward for golfers passing through the area. As a nine-hole course, a full round is set up by playing the same holes twice, with a second set of markers showing the layout as holes ten to eighteen for those completing eighteen holes in a single visit. The setting, among lochs and mountains in one of the more elevated parts of highland Perthshire, makes St Fillans a course many golfers combine with a wider trip through this part of Scotland rather than a single standalone round.
