Stockwood Park Golf Club

🤍

Stockwood Park Golf Club occupies part of Stockwood Park on the southern edge of Luton, Bedfordshire. The park itself is one of Luton's larger green spaces, laid out around the site of a former country estate and now home to a museum of rural life alongside its sports facilities. Luton sits on the edge of the Chiltern Hills, and the chalk downland that runs south and west of the town gives this part of Bedfordshire a more varied, undulating character than the flatter farmland further north in the county. As a course within a municipal park, Stockwood Park is run as part of Luton's wider leisure provision rather than as a private members' club, which typically means more open access for casual and visiting golfers. The park's position close to the town centre and the M1 corridor makes it one of the more accessible courses in the Luton area, within easy reach of the surrounding suburbs as well as neighbouring towns such as Harpenden and Dunstable.
