Tilsworth Golf Club

🤍

Tilsworth Golf Club lies close to Leighton Buzzard, a market town that straddles the Bedfordshire border in the LU7 postcode area more usually associated with Luton to the south. Leighton Buzzard grew up along the old coaching road between London and the Midlands and later became a stop on the West Coast Main Line, giving it strong rail links into London despite sitting well outside the capital's outer edge. The surrounding countryside is typical of the Bedfordshire and Chiltern fringe, low, gently rolling farmland dotted with villages, quite different from the denser urban character of Luton itself a few miles south. Bedfordshire is a small county with a modest number of golf clubs, most clustered around its larger towns such as Luton, Bedford and Dunstable, with Leighton Buzzard sitting slightly apart from that cluster to the west. The club's position gives it reach into both Bedfordshire and the neighbouring corner of Buckinghamshire, an area shaped as much by the M1 corridor as by its older market-town history.
