About Villa Golf Club

Villa Golf Club is tucked into the High Weald near Groombridge, close to the Kent and East Sussex border, on a course that currently runs to nine holes. The club has been gradually adding to that original layout, and a set of additional greens on the closing holes now allows a round to be extended into a variation on the back nine, giving players the option of a full eighteen-hole visit rather than the standard nine. Wooded fairways run through the surrounding Wealden countryside, and the atmosphere is generally more relaxed and informal than at larger members' clubs in the area, reflecting the course's smaller scale. Visitors have described the setting as notably scenic, and the additional greens have been well received as a way of offering a longer round without needing a full second nine holes of new ground. Villa's position near Groombridge places it in classic High Weald countryside, with rolling, wooded terrain typical of this part of the Kent-Sussex border. The ongoing expansion of the course reflects a club still developing its layout rather than one settled into a fixed, unchanging routine.
