Wetherby Golf Club dates back to 1910 and has been playing golf in the Linton area, just outside Wetherby, ever since. The eighteen-hole course runs alongside the River Wharfe, giving much of the round a backdrop of the river as it winds through this part of Yorkshire countryside, and plays to a par of 73 across a full-length layout that includes several par-five holes over 500 yards. The club describes its approach as welcoming to golfers at every stage, from those playing their first round to long-standing members who have played there many hundreds of times. Beyond the course itself, the club runs a pro shop and coaching academy, giving members and visitors access to lessons and equipment alongside the golf. The clubhouse and course are based on Linton Lane in Linton, on the edge of Wetherby, a market town that sits between Leeds, York and Harrogate. That central position within Yorkshire's road network makes the club accessible from several of the region's larger towns and cities, while the course itself keeps its identity rooted in the river valley setting along the Wharfe. With more than a century of history behind it, Wetherby Golf Club combines its long-standing riverside course with a modern coaching and hospitality offer for members and visitors alike.
