Blundells Hill Golf Club

Blundells Hill Golf Club was founded in 1994 near Prescot, on the Merseyside side of the Liverpool city region close to the M62 corridor that links the city with Manchester. The eighteen-hole course occupies mature parkland, giving it a more established feel than its comparatively recent founding date might suggest, with the clubhouse set on raised ground overlooking the layout below. Prescot itself is a former market and watchmaking town that has been absorbed into the wider Liverpool conurbation, sitting between the city centre and Merseyside's eastern boundary with Cheshire and Greater Manchester. The M62's junction 7 lies within a few minutes of the club, making it a convenient stop for golfers travelling across the north-west rather than only those based locally, and its position on the eastern fringe of Merseyside places it within reach of both Liverpool and Warrington. As one of the newer clubs in this area, founded in the 1990s rather than the Victorian or Edwardian era common among Merseyside's older courses, Blundells Hill represents a later wave of parkland golf development around the city's outer commuter belt.
