Burstead Golf Club is an 18-hole course set in the CM12 postcode area of Essex, in the countryside around Little Burstead close to Billericay. This part of Essex sits on the higher, more wooded ground between the Thames estuary lowlands to the south and the flatter arable country further north around Chelmsford, giving the area a rolling character with pockets of ancient woodland among the farmland. Billericay itself is an established Essex town with a long history as a coaching stop on the old road between London and Essex's eastern towns, and its surrounding villages, including Little Burstead, have largely retained a rural, low-density feel even as commuter development has spread along the main road corridors nearby. The A129 and A176 give reasonably direct routes towards both Basildon and Chelmsford, placing the club within easy reach of a broad swathe of mid-Essex while still sitting in genuinely open countryside.
Burstead Golf Club plays over 18 holes.
