Carden Park Golf Club
Carden Park Golf Club sits in rural Cheshire, close to the Welsh border and roughly midway between Chester and Wrexham. This part of Cheshire is low-lying and agricultural, characterised by dairy farmland, sandstone ridges and small villages, in contrast to the more built-up areas of the county further north around Warrington and Crewe. Chester itself, a few miles to the north-east, is one of England's best-preserved walled Roman cities and draws visitors from both sides of the border. The boundary between Cheshire and Wales here is marked more by a change in local government than by any dramatic shift in landscape, with similar rolling farmland continuing on both sides around Wrexham and Malpas. Its position close to North Wales makes Carden Park a common inclusion in golf itineraries that cover both Cheshire and the border counties, despite sitting on the English side of the boundary itself.
