Cuddington Golf Club occupies 166 acres of chalk downland in Surrey, having been founded on this Banstead site in 1929, and the course still covers that same ground today. From the back markers it measures 6,603 yards, with alternative tees at 6,012 and 5,709 yards giving flexibility for different standards of play. The layout makes use of the rolling downland terrain typical of this part of Surrey, close to the North Downs and within easy reach of Epsom and Sutton. Visitors are able to play on Mondays, Tuesday afternoons and Thursdays, a pattern that keeps the course primarily available to its own membership through the rest of the week. The club address on Banstead Road places it firmly within the commuter belt south of London, and its downland setting gives the golf a different feel to the heathland and parkland courses more common elsewhere in the county. Nearly a century after its founding, Cuddington continues to operate as a members' club with a defined visitor policy rather than an open pay-and-play facility, maintaining an online booking and enquiry system for both playing and club news.
