Dufftown Golf Club

Dufftown Golf Club plays over an 18-hole course set within Speyside, the area of northeast Scotland best known for its concentration of malt whisky distilleries. The club sits in the old county of Banffshire, close to Keith, in landscape shaped by the hills and river valleys that also define the whisky trail running through this part of Moray and Speyside. Two of the course's holes, the 7th and the 10th, were selected for inclusion in the book Britain's 100 Extraordinary Golf Holes by Geoff Harvey and Vanessa Strowger, a recognition that has helped draw golfers back to the club on repeat visits. Dufftown itself is a small town built around the whisky industry, with several working distilleries within a short drive of the course, giving visiting golfers an obvious pairing of activities during a stay in the area. The combination of Speyside's hill country and its whisky heritage sets Dufftown apart from many of Scotland's better-known coastal and city courses, offering a genuinely rural round in one of the country's most distinctive regional landscapes.
