Foxbridge Golf Club is a nine-hole course set in the West Sussex countryside near Kirdford, roughly five miles from Billingshurst and eight miles from Godalming. The layout makes use of the quiet, wooded landscape typical of this part of the Sussex Weald, with bluebell woods bordering the fourth and fifth holes that come into bloom each spring. Its rural position, away from the busier towns of the Surrey and West Sussex border, gives the course a settled, unhurried character suited to a relaxed round. Kirdford itself is a small Wealden village, part of a cluster of historic settlements between Billingshurst and Petworth known for farmland, woodland and traditional Sussex architecture. With nine holes rather than a full eighteen, Foxbridge offers a shorter round that still covers a reasonable variety of terrain, making it accessible for golfers with limited time as well as those looking for a lower-key alternative to the region's larger clubs. The surrounding countryside, dotted with ancient woodland, gives the course a strong seasonal identity, with the spring bluebells providing a distinctive backdrop each year. Golfers travelling from Godalming or the wider Surrey Hills area can reach the club within a reasonably short drive.
