Hadley Wood Golf Club

🤍

Hadley Wood Golf Club is based at Hadley Wood, a residential area straddling the border between Barnet, on the northern edge of London, and Hertfordshire. The area takes its name from the ancient woodland that once covered much of this stretch of country between London and the Hertfordshire towns of Potters Bar and Cockfosters. Hadley Wood grew up as a planned Edwardian suburb built around its railway station, with large houses set among mature trees, and the golf club sits within that same wooded, well-established setting. The border position between Barnet and Hertfordshire gives the club a catchment on both sides of the county line, drawing members from north London as well as the Hertfordshire commuter towns further out. This part of the London fringe retains a notably green character compared with the built-up boroughs closer to the centre, with woodland, golf courses and open fields forming a buffer between the capital and the Hertfordshire countryside beyond.
