Haste Hill Golf Club
Haste Hill Golf Club plays over a public course in Northwood, offering eighteen holes to a par of 68 across 5,750 yards. Although the course itself is council-owned and open to any paying golfer, the club that runs alongside it operates as a private members' body, with its own history stretching back to at least the 1920s based on the club's own archive of that period. The opening hole is a short par 3, set up as an accessible starting point before the round moves into a run of holes mixing longer and shorter par figures, testing low-handicap players while staying playable for beginners. The course backs onto a recognised local nature reserve, giving parts of the round a quieter, more wooded feel than the surrounding streets of Northwood suggest. Visitors are welcome every day of the week but must book and pay in advance through the club's online tee-time system rather than turning up on spec. Facilities include a putting green with practice nets, and the club publishes separate pages covering green fees and an expected dress code for anyone bringing guests or playing as a visitor. Northwood itself sits at the edge of the Metropolitan Green Belt in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
