Houghwood was constructed during 1994/5 � opened May 1996. Covers 132 acres and has panoramic views over the Lancashire Plain and the Welsh Hills. Large greens constructed to USGA specification � open 12 months of the year. Extensive drainage infrastructure and computerised irrigation system enable play in extreme weather conditions. 35,000 new trees have been planted to expand the existing woodland and give character definition between holes.
