Culcheth is a village in the borough of Warrington, Cheshire, roughly midway between Warrington itself and Leigh in Greater Manchester, close to the Culcheth Linear Park and Risley Moss nature reserve that run along former railway and moss land in this part of the Mersey Valley. Warrington sits on the River Mersey between Liverpool and Manchester and was historically part of Lancashire before county boundary changes brought it into Cheshire; its centre grew as a market and coaching town on the road linking the two cities, later known for wire-making and brewing. Leigh Golf Club takes its clubhouse from Kenyon Hall, a Grade II listed building on Broseley Lane, at the centre of an 18-hole parkland course playing to a par of 69 over 5,908 yards. The club has recently invested £100,000 in course improvements. Visitor and society bookings are taken through the club's website, and members have access to a course guide, scorecard, local rules and a handicap table.
