Oakland Park Golf Club occupies a stretch of mature, gently rolling parkland on the fringe of the Chilterns, just outside Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire. The eighteen-hole course plays to a par of 67 and sits alongside a practice range, giving visiting golfers somewhere to warm up before a round. The club is one half of the Orida Group, whose sister venue, Park Wood Golf Club within the M25, is a longer eighteen-hole layout playing to a par of 72 over 6,835 yards. At Oakland Park, a resident PGA professional runs the in-house academy, offering lessons on the course itself as well as coaching from the driving range. Golf societies are a regular presence, with the club set up to handle group bookings, and the grounds double as a venue for weddings and other functions, making use of the clubhouse and surrounding parkland outside of tee times. Chalfont St Giles lies within the Chiltern Hills, a landscape known for its beechwoods and chalk downland, and the course's position on the edge of that country shapes its undulating character. Visitor tee times can be booked directly, and the club posts updates on course conditions through its social channels.
