Royal St David’s Golf Club

🤍

Royal St David's Golf Club is located near Harlech in Gwynedd, on the north Wales coast, under postcode LL46. Harlech is best known for its medieval castle, built by Edward I and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the town and the flat coastal land below. The Llŷn Peninsula lies across Tramadog Bay to the north-west, and the mountains of Snowdonia rise inland to the east, giving this stretch of coast a distinctive combination of castle, dunes and mountain backdrop. Gwynedd as a county covers much of north-west Wales, including most of Snowdonia National Park, and is one of the most sparsely populated parts of the country outside its market towns. The club's setting beneath Harlech Castle places it among a small number of Welsh courses directly associated with a major historic monument, and the surrounding dune coastline is typical of the exposed, open beaches that run along this side of Cardigan Bay.
