Rushcliffe Golf Club
Rushcliffe Golf Club sits in the LE12 postcode area on the Leicestershire side of the county boundary with Nottinghamshire, in the countryside between Loughborough and the Wolds villages that give this part of the East Midlands its rolling, agricultural character. The wider Rushcliffe area takes its name from the Nottinghamshire borough just across the border, an expanse of gentle farmland and small villages that stretches down towards the Trent Valley. Loughborough itself, a few miles to the south, is a substantial market and university town, and the surrounding LE12 villages retain a quieter, rural feel by comparison, with narrow lanes connecting scattered settlements across the Wolds. This is traditional East Midlands countryside, shaped over centuries by mixed farming rather than industry, and it gives the club a setting well away from the busier roads and towns nearby, with easy enough reach of both Loughborough and Nottingham for members and visitors travelling from either direction.
