Springwater Golf Club is a privately owned eighteen-hole parkland course at Calverton, near Arnold, around twenty minutes from Nottingham city centre. Set across 125 acres of rolling Nottinghamshire countryside, the course has been developed over more than thirty years and now has an active membership of over 440 golfers. The layout offers a balanced mix of holes, with five par threes ranging from around 150 to almost 200 yards, four par fives and nine par fours, requiring both accuracy and, on the longer holes, distance to avoid trouble. Beyond the golf itself, the club has built a wider events business, hosting weddings and functions alongside PGA coaching for members and visitors wanting to improve their game. A clubhouse restaurant serves food and drink to members and visitors, and the club describes its atmosphere as relaxed and family-friendly rather than formal. Visitors and societies are welcomed throughout the week, with tailored packages available for group golf days that include catering. Its location within easy reach of Nottingham, combined with the range of non-golf facilities on site, makes Springwater a practical option both for a straightforward round and for larger group or corporate golf days in the county.
