Sevenoaks Town Golf Club

The course at Sevenoaks Town Golf Club is set within roughly 1,000 acres of historic parkland surrounding Knole House, a National Trust property, and shares its grounds with one of the largest herds of deer kept in the south-east of England. That parkland setting gives the eighteen holes an unusually open, estate-scale backdrop rather than a course carved from smaller, purpose-bought land, with mature trees and long sightlines across the deer park framing much of the round. The club describes its own layout modestly, noting simply that it set out to build an interesting eighteen holes and considers parts of the course to have succeeded in that aim. As a long-established members' club, it offers the usual range of competitive and social golf alongside professional coaching and club fitting through its resident professional. Beyond golf, the club also runs squash facilities for members, adding another sporting option on site. Visitors play under a booking system that allows groups of up to eight golfers to reserve tee times up to two months ahead, subject to handicap limits of 28 for men and 36 for women. The combination of deer-park scenery, National Trust surroundings and a long membership history gives the club a distinctive setting among Kent's golf courses.
