Verulam Golf Club

🤍

Verulam is a challenging course renowned for its fast undulating greens. The course is tight and sets a premium on accuracy and shot control. Out-of-bounds is a danger at many holes and there are many hazards to be negotiated. Verulam presents an excellent and interesting test of golf to the experienced player. At just under 6500 yards from the medal tees the course is not long, and as the course drains freely in Summer the ball really does run, but the best scores result from being straight and having a good short game rather than long hitting that doesn't follow the fairway. Due to its draining capability the course is rarely closed in winter and temporary greens are virtually unheard of. The signature hole is thought by many to be the 17th, the "Road Hole", a par three played over a pub
