About this course

West Lothian Golf Club plays over 18 holes to a par of 71, on high ground between Bo'ness and Linlithgow in central Scotland. Linlithgow itself is a royal burgh on the shore of Linlithgow Loch, best known for the ruined Linlithgow Palace where Mary, Queen of Scots was born, and the town sits roughly midway between Edinburgh and Falkirk along the old coaching road now followed by the A803. The course looks out over the Forth Valley, the wide lowland corridor through which the River Forth runs down to the Firth of Forth, with the Ochil Hills and the Campsie Fells forming the skyline to the north and west. This part of West Lothian was historically shale-mining and farming country before becoming a commuter belt for Edinburgh and Glasgow, and the M9 motorway now runs close by, linking the club to both cities across a landscape of farmland, former industrial ground and loch-side parkland.

West Lothian Golf Club plays over 18 holes and a par of 71.
