Wheatlands Golf Course and Country Hotel
Wheatlands Golf Course and Country Hotel is located on Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, lying around fourteen miles off the Normandy coast of France in the English Channel. Jersey's mild, sheltered climate, warmed by its southerly position and the surrounding sea, gives the island a longer growing season than mainland Britain and allows golf to be played comfortably across much of the year. The island's landscape combines a rugged north coast with gentler, low-lying parishes to the south, and its granite soils and pockets of loam support a mix of pasture, orchard and open ground across the interior. As a golf course paired with a hotel, Wheatlands sits within Jersey's wider visitor economy, which blends a Channel Islands identity, distinct from the mainland UK in currency and governance while retaining strong British ties, with a concentration of hospitality aimed at holidaymakers travelling from both the UK and France.
