Aylesbury Park Golf Club

🤍

Aylesbury Park Golf Club lies just outside Aylesbury, the county town of Buckinghamshire, in the Vale of Aylesbury — a broad, low-lying stretch of farmland running between the Chiltern Hills to the south and the ridge of low hills towards Buckingham and the Ouse valley to the north. The town itself has origins going back to Saxon times, when it grew up around a market that still gives its name to the historic centre, and it later became the administrative seat of the county in the nineteenth century. Aylesbury expanded considerably through the twentieth century as London overspill development brought new housing estates and, more recently, further growth linked to its position on the road and rail routes between London and Birmingham. The surrounding Vale is characterised by gentle, open countryside, historically given over to dairy farming and duck rearing, from which the Aylesbury duck breed takes its name. The postcode area, HP17, covers villages and hamlets to the south east of the town proper, within easy reach of the county town's shops, station and road links to the wider region.
