Bath Golf Club occupies high ground overlooking the city of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Somerset known for its Georgian architecture and Roman-era origins. The course was designed by Harry Colt, and the club belongs to the Association of Harry Colt Courses, which offers discounted green fees to members of other clubs within the same design lineage. From its elevated position, the course looks out across the city and the surrounding countryside in more than one direction, a result of its hilltop setting above the historic centre. Green fees are structured by season, with summer visitor rates for eighteen holes running from around fifty pounds on weekdays up to eighty pounds on Fridays and weekends, dropping to a flat fifty pounds through the winter months; a day rate covering multiple rounds is also available for those wanting to play more than once in a visit. Junior visitor rates and a discounted County Card rate are offered alongside standard pricing. Bath's position at the southern edge of the Cotswolds, with the River Avon running through the city below, gives the club's hilltop course a vantage point over one of England's most recognisable historic cities.
