Bishopwood Golf Course

Bishopswood Golf Course occupies Bishopswood Lane in Tadley, on the Hampshire side of the Basingstoke area near the Berkshire border. The layout runs to nine holes measuring 6,350 yards in total against a par of 72, with a course rating of 73.6, and is designed to be played by golfers of any standard. Today's Golfer magazine included Bishopswood among its Top 50 nine-hole courses in the UK, and the club has separately been counted among the better nine-hole layouts in the south of England. Trolleys are permitted throughout, along with members' own buggies. The clubhouse sits above the course on an upper floor housing the Sands Lounge and a balcony bar, and the site also hosts weddings, meetings and conference bookings alongside golf. Tuition is available on-site through a PGA professional. Tadley itself lies on the northern edge of Hampshire close to the Berkshire boundary, within striking distance of Basingstoke to the south and the wooded country around Pamber Forest to the north, an area shaped historically by heathland and forestry rather than open downland.
