C & L Golf

C & L Golf is based in Northolt, in the London Borough of Ealing, on the western edge of Greater London close to the boundary with Hillingdon. Northolt sits in the valley of the River Yeading, a minor tributary of the Crane, and much of the surrounding land was historically farmland and airfield before post-war suburban development filled in the area between the older village centre and neighbouring Greenford and South Ruislip. The UB5 postcode covers a mix of interwar housing estates and pockets of surviving open space, including recreation grounds and playing fields that were retained as London's suburbs expanded outward in the twentieth century. The A40 runs close by, giving quick access into central London to the east and out towards Uxbridge and the M40 to the west, making the club a convenient stop for golfers based in this part of west London rather than a rural destination in its own right.
